Laboratory of Spatial Information Systems

Geographic Information Systems laboratory was established at Institute of Biology in December 2014 in course of restructuring the Faculty of Biology and Chemistry.

The main goals of GIS Lab are:

• Conducting spatial analysis for biological data
• The use of GIS and GPS tools in nature inventory and monitoring
• Conducting studies with the use of telemetry
• Data visualization

The apparatus functioning within Geographic Information Systems Laboratory was obtained from the targeted subsidy of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education No. 8636 / E 342 / R / 2014 of July 31, 2014 "Restructuring of the Biological and Chemical Faculty".
